In Fullerton Area Office Wednesday
There will be a Field Representative of the Social Security Administration's Santa Ana Office in Fullerton, Wednesday, Sept. 18, according to Garrett W. List, Manager of the Santa Ana office. The representative will be at Fullerton's new office of the California Department of Employment at 232 E. Commonwealth Between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Federal Old-Age and Survivors Insurance provides basic monthly retirement benefits for insured workers and self-employed individuals covered by the program who retire at age 65 or later. In addition, benefits are paid to survivors of eligible workers and the self-employed who die at any age.
"The Social Security payments are not automatic." List said, "an application must be filed."
"This service is for individuals who find it difficult to go to Santa Ana to file claims for Old-Age and Survivors Insurance," List said. This will be a once a month contact point maintained by the Santa Ana office for the benefit of all Northern Orange County residents. Plans call for a continuing service in Fullerton the third Wednesday of each month.
The purpose of this extended contact service in Fullerton is to eliminate possible loss of old-age failure to make proper timely appraisal and survivors benefits because of application in the Santa Ana office plication. Anyone interested in filing applications for these insurance at 810 N. Broadway, or meet the representative during his visit in Fullerton.
