GARDEN SHELTER. This rustic garden shelter was built by the owner with nothing more than framing members, six panels of exterior fir plywood and a set of old French doors salvaged from an earlier remodeling job. Shelter has practically doubled the time the family can spend in outdoor living.
STORAGE TO SPARE. Here's a three-unit plywood storage wall that requires no fancy cabinet work. You can build it at home with ordinary hand tools. Plans ten cents, Douglas Fir Plywood Association, Tacome, Wash.
Defense Scheduled To End Testimony In Monahan Case
LOS ANGELES (UP)—The defense today was scheduled to conclude its case for Mrs. Barbara Graham, accused with John A. Santo and Emmett Perkins of murdering Mable Monahan in her Burbank home March 9.
Of three witnesses who testified for Mrs. Graham's defense yesterday, she heard the defendant at home arguing with her husband the night of the murder. The other two were unable to state positively that theybor of the Graham's testified overheard the accused and his husband arguing until late the night.
Mrs. Graham's estranged husband, Henry, testified he might have been at home fighting with his wife the night of March 9. He said under cross-examination that he couldn't "be certain of the date... It could have been March 9."
Another defense witness, Willis Croff, of Memphis, Tenn., also vague about the date he accompanied Graham to his home.
"It could have been a Monday or a Tuesday (March 9 or 10)," he said. He added that he arrived with Graham about 9 p.m., stayed "until 5 or 6 a.m." and heard a couple arguing during that time.
Under cross-examination prosecutor Adolph Alexander, Croff said it "could have been" several days either way of March 9 when he was at the Graham home.
The defense was expected to conclude its case for Mrs. Graham with presentation of a court transcript of a sentence modification for Mrs. Donna Prow. Mrs. Prow 20, as a prisoner on a one-year traffic manslaughter sentence, changed jail notes with Mrs. Graham to arrange the defendant meeting with undercover police man Sam Sirianni.
Sirianni has testified he posed as an underworld character to lea Mrs. Graham to frame a fake ally for her whereabouts on the murder night.

A Personal Message To Anaheim Residents . . .
"It is natural for every home buyer to desire for his family the luxuries and craftsmanship which his wealthier neighbor enjoys. That desire is no longer a dream. It is every family's right. Hundreds of happy home owners in Whittwood Heights — a recent Whitttier development—with which it was my privilege to be associated — are dramatic confirmation that builder know-how, coupled with builder integrity, can provide families of average means with homes of unsurpassed quality. I am indeed proud to list as my newest demonstration of such home value beautiful EASTWOOD PARK in your lovely city of Anaheim."

So this HOUSEKEEPING
This do-it-yourself bug finally bit me. Or rather, I should say, it bit us. If anyone had told me a month ago that Jeff, my husband, and I would undertake to build a room for Betty in the attic space I would have called them crazy.
I got the idea when I was shopping with Jeff. He wanted to cover the garage with something called siding. While he was looking over his garage material I wandered through the building supply store and became intrigued with some interior finishes called Celotex tile board and finish plank. The designs and colors fascinated me.
When Jeff had bought his siding the dealer came over and began to explain what these finishes were. Said they come in different width and lengths all ready to putfor-lmost anybody could name walls and ceilings with that said and with small expenses following
